March 2008

I’m a fan of Korean actress Kim Tae-hee (김태희). I’ve seen her in a few drama series and one movie, The Restless. Oh, now that I look at IMDb, she’s also played a smaller part in the movie Last Present which I also have. I’ve watched that movie several times, but it must have been before I knew who she was.

Venus and Mars

Now her third movie (the second where she’s starring) has been released. It’s called Venus and Mars and is about a divorced couple who hate each other, and instead of letting things be, they battle it out. At first I thought this sounded mediocre at best. This is partly because her last movie The Restless was kind of meh. Then I saw that Venus and Mars is directed by Han Ji-seung who also directed Too Beautiful To Lie, which I love. But that movie is carried by Kim Ha-neul, who is one of my favourite actresses. All the same, this makes me interested in Venus and Mars, so I went ahead and ordered this DVD. I’ll post a review when I’ve watched it.

The Face

Finally, the Hong Kong version of BoA’s latest album The Face is available at YesAsia. It also comes in the limited CD+2DVD version, same as the Japanese version, only cheaper. This is an album I’ve really been looking forward to.

I bought a Love Hina DVD box last week. It was fairly cheap and I thought it could be fun to re-watch the anime, since it’s been been quite a while since I first watched it. Then I put the first DVD in and saw the Swedish subtitles… […] there’s more! »

I’ve noticed that the Swedish children’s TV channel (barnkanalen) is airing a lot of Japanese children’s programs, like drama series and movies for children. I don’t keep track of what airs when, but I like watching them because the Japanese is pretty basic and they speak clearly, so I can understand a little. I just watched a movie called Hinokio, which had YUI’s song Tomorrow’s way during the end titles.

I used a new program for encoding this video. I hope it works (it works on my PSP at least).

Byul

During the few days that I haven’t checked for new K-Pop releases, Byul (별) has released a best of album called The Best Album.

It’s a must buy if you like Byul. It features her biggest hits as well as collaborations with other artists. It’s cheap too :)

Ignis

I read super rats’ tutorial for taking indoor photos of figures today. On my way home I went shopping and bought some tracing paper etc. to build a light diffuser for the mini photo studio I was about to build. I didn’t follow the tutorial fully because I don’t have many lamps and they are all pretty weak. I thought I’d give it a go with what I already had (so that the most expensive material I had to buy was a roll of tape).
