Buzzer Beat

I started watching the Japanese drama series Buzzer Beat this week. It’s about Naoki (played by Tomohisa “Yamapi” Yamashita) who is a professional basket ball player, who is having problems believing in himself. He meets Riko (played by Keiko Kitagawa, whom I love) who wants to become a professional violinist.
Buzzer Beat is a nice “believe in yourself”-drama that strikes a chord with me. It’s emotional, but also light-hearted at times. I suppose it will become more romantic as the story progresses. I’ve only watched three episodes (out of 11) so far.

It sounds pretty interesting. Is the series in english subs and do you watch it online?

I downloaded it from d-addicts.com (it’s available both in HD and standard). There they also have English fansubs that you can download.
It’s probably available through some streaming video sites too, but I don’t know which.
I’ve watched a few more episodes now and it’s only getting better
One thing I forgot to mention in the post was that this is absolutely not a typical sports drama where the story is only about “let’s win the championship”. It’s more about the characters.

every drama yamapi acts in is awesome ;P
that’s why he’s my favorite actor~
i find buzzer beat pretty good but honestly the other dramas he starred in were much better. so this is not really one of my favorites~

I haven’t watched any of his other dramas. If they’re as good, or even better, than Buzzer Beat, I’ll have to watch them when I’m done with this one.

* spoiler alert *
I watched the finale last night and it was a bit anti-climactic in a way. It felt more like an epilogue than anything else.
Very good drama though.
Did anyone else react to how much of the story they give away in the opening credits?
