November 2009

I got my copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (PS3) today (on the 10th I mean). At first I was so tired that I didn’t think I would be able to play it tonight after work, but I couldn’t not play a game I’ve been looking forward to this much :)

I decided to try playing the single player campaign on the “hardened” difficulty.

The game is very intense! The tempo and amount of action is incredible. It switches back and forth between different parts of the story much like the first game did.

Once I had started I couldn’t put the controller down (except for taking bites of my already cold dinner), so I ended up finishing the campaign in one sitting :) . Took a bit over seven hours (and I usually take a long time to finish games). I died many times, but it wasn’t overly difficult.

Now it’s time for bed. I’ll try the “Special Ops” mode and multiplayer tomorrow night.

The game is very violent and definitely deserves its 18+ rating.

To sum up: this game is awesome! :D

Fucking Åmål (English title: Show me love) is a Swedish movie that came out in 1998. I watched it in the cinema when it first came out and I remember really liking it. I had been planning to re-watch it some day, and yesterday was that “some day”.

Last week this movie was mentioned in a Swedish newspaper where they were listing “100 emotions”. I got the urge to watch it again after 11 years and ordered the DVD.

Fucking Åmål is about two girls, Agnes and Elin (played by Rebecka Liljeberg and Alexandra Dahlström), who live in a small town in Sweden. Elin is pretty popular and Agnes doesn’t have any friends. And the thing is that Agnes is in love with Elin. That’s the main story, but the movie also depicts (teenage) life in a Swedish small town. […] there’s more! »

You and I

This isn’t really my genre, but You and I by Park Bom (박봄) has really grown on me. The music video plays a big part in that I think.

You and I is a digital single and is, as far as I know, pretty much impossible to buy legally if you’re outside Korea (or other countries where it’s on the music charts), so here’s the mp3:

I hope she releases a solo album too.

Update 2009-11-05: I replaced the MP3 with a new one (better quality).

It’s been a while since I last posted any SNSD stuff. Here is their performance at SBS Dream Concert last month.

In this performance Yu-ri joins Hyo-yeon in the booty shaking.

Unfortunately the video is cut off like two seconds too early in the end.

This is the video for BoA’s Autumn letter (가을 편지). Both the audio and video was recorded at the same time.

I remember watching a “making of” of this video and, of course, one member of the staff’s cell-phone starts to ring during the filming. I can just imagine how they a couple of minutes earlier were saying “OK, everyone. We need you to be absolutely quiet, so turn off your cell-phones” and that guy went “yeah, yeah, of course. Do they think I’m stupid?”
