2 Different Tears is the Wonder Girls’ new Korean single and the first one since Sun-mi left the group to complete her studies. Both the song and music video features her replacement (stand-in?) Hye-rim.

The video qualiy isn’t the best, but it’s the best one I could find. I was thinking about posting a live performance instead, but this song just doesn’t seem to work all that well live. I have a whole bunch of performances, but they all seem kind of flat. If you want a specific performance, let me know and I’ll put it up.
I’m on the fence as to whether I like this song or not. It has some parts I like, but… I expected it to be poppier somehow.

Soon after releasing Muzik in Japanese, 4Minute returns to the Korean market with the release of their second mini album Hit Your Heart, which will be out next week.

So-hyun seems to have cut her hair short!
I haven’t listnened to all the new songs yet, but you can check out Huh in the video above and the intro to the video is from the song Who’s Next (feat. Beast). The sound is a bit similar to Hyun-a’s solo song Change, only much better. I’ll listen to all the songs soon, but it sounds very promising so far.
I might post the Japanese version of Muzik later, but they sound much better in Korean.

100 days with Mr. Arrogant (Naesarang ssagaji) is a Korean romantic comedy that I’d been meaning to watch for a long time, but I didn’t get around to it until last week. I know Kim Jae-won from the drama series Romance, but it was the first time I saw Ha Ji-won.
Ha Ji-won plays Kang Ha-yeong, a high-school senior who runs into Kim Jae-won’s character Lee Hyeong-jun when she, after having been dumped by her boyfriend, kicks a beer can down the street and causes a minor traffic accident where Hyeong-jun slightly damages his luxurious car. Since she doensn’t have any money he demands her to be his slave for 100 days to work off the debt.

Since Maki quit HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR and was replaced by HALCA, the band released one album last September. After that it’s been very quiet…
Now it’s been announced that HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR are disbanding after their next single “Re:ache”, which will be out in August. After that HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR will be no more
. The reason for the breakup is supposedly differences in attitude and goals (it doesn’t get much fuzzier than that
).
I can’t say I was all that surprised when hearing the news and I’m not really upset about it (unlike when Maki quit).

Ever wondered what it would be like to see BoA dance with a bunch of nazi officers? Look no further than this video.
It’s a performance of LAZER from BoA’s 2010 Identity tour. I don’t have a release date for the DVD though. I only know that the show has aired on TV. I’d guess (since no release date is available, edit: release date August 11th) that the DVD will come out after her Woo Weekend single, which comes out at the end of July. Hopefully it’ll come out sooner though.

I wonder who came up with the costumes… Probably the same person who came up with the zombie clowns for the Bump! Bump! video

At the turn of the month Girls’ Generation’s first official photobook will be released. Titled “少女 (in Tokyo)”, it’s a 354 page photobook that was shot in Tokyo (duh
). Included is also a 69 minute (region free) DVD that has, wait for it… English subtitles!

I’m so going to buy this. It’s available for pre-order at YesAsia right now.
At first I thought the price they were charging was ridiculous ($65 with standard shipping) since the list price is supposed to be ₩44000 ($39), but that was before I saw what people were charging (with shipping) on eBay. I’m going to try ordering it from Korea instead. I found a deal where it’s $48 with EMS shipping (hopefully I won’t get ripped off
).

I was thinking about writing how the talk-singing with voice effects that Super Junior have been doing in all their latest songs was cool in one song, but that it’s now getting old. But I changed my mind. It still sounds cool

Back in 2007 Girls’ Generation did a cover of BoA’s My Name at the 100th episode of M! Countdown.

Zokkondition (ゾッ婚ディション) is Ai’s latest single. It’s not one of my favourite songs of hers, but one of the reasons why I like Ai is her diversity.

As you already know, Tae-yeon from SNSD stars as Kaoru in the Korean musical version of Midnight Sun. Some audio and video has started to show up on YouTube and in the clip below you can hear (no video) Tae-yeon sing a Korean version of Good-bye days.

She sings very well and the Korean version is nice. But I had expected them to have original music in the musical, not just Korean versions of YUI’s songs
