YUI was chosen to compose the opening and ending song for the upcoming Japanese movie Paradise Kiss, starring Keiko Kitagawa and Osamu Mukai. The movie is an adaptation of a manga by Ai Yazawa (the creator of NANA).

HELLO ~Paradise Kiss~ is the opening song. YUI has really changed up her style with her in her last couple of music videos. I think back to To Mother, when it was a minor sensation that YUI was wearing a dress. In this video all the different outfits kind of make sense considering what the movie is about. I like the head band look (the one in the screenshot). But YUI with straight bangs (with the pony tail, where she’s wearing black) looks so weird to me
.
You can hear a snippet of the ending song YOU in this trailer for the movie:
Here IU is performing the song Dreaming, which her character Pil-sook composes in the drama Dream High, but with altered lyrics.
You might remember the clip i posted from another of IU’s (numerous) appearances on Sketchbook and how infatuated the host, Yoo Hee-yeol, was by her. This time IU changed the lyrics to describe him:
Sharp eyes like a hawk, forehead like the Pacific Ocean, small and cute shoulders~ Established appearance from behind, a white face, with a warm way of speaking~ Did you miss me? Don’t just laugh~ I know how you feel, uncle~ Even when you’re coy, I know. You can fool a ghost but you can’t fool me~ Step by step, nervous footsteps, with excitement~ I prepared this much today~ I missed you, uncle~
It’s so cute when she sings “나 보고 싶었어?” (did you miss me, informal) and then adds the polite “요?” (yo), since she’s singing to an “uncle”

Twitter can be very useful (and in this case costly) sometimes. I saw some sporadic tweets a while ago about SM Entertainment arranging a concert in Paris in June and thought it was cool, but that it would be such a hassle trying to find out where to get tickets, getting to France and all that. Then someone retweeted a link to where you could buy tickets, so I suddenly decided I would go if I could.
The tickets went on sale earlier today (they’re sold out btw) and I’m so glad that I did some research last night and had two different ticket sites open, so that I could try the other one if one failed, because they both went down due to the immense traffic moments after the tickets went up for sale. I think there might be a pent up demand for K-Pop in Europe
.
I managed to get a hold of a “prestige” ticket (the best seats) with an extra “goodies package”, whatever that is. It was my “panic option”. If I didn’t know what to click, I should click the prestige + goodies button
, so I did. Then the checkout was in French. I don’t speak French. But I could understand enough to click the right buttons and fill out the forms correctly.
The groups performing are SNSD
, f(x)
, Super Junior, SHINee and DBSK. Pretty much all top SM artists except BoA, who’s working on a dance movie in Hollywood right now.
I promise I won’t try to drag Tae-yeon off the stage
.
It’ll be nice to go to Paris too, becuase I’ve actually never been there. Even if it’s just for a couple of days.
Don’t Cry is Park Bom’s second solo single. It was an instant hit, snatching the #1 spot on all the Korean digital real-time music charts at once.
I really love Bom’s voice and I’m digging this song. She should do more solo songs.

2NE1 will be revealing a new song every three weeks leading up to their Korean comeback. Don’t Cry was the first one out. It was released on the 21st, so the next song should be out on the 12th of May.
The actor in the music video is Kim Young-kwang.
피노키오 (Danger) is the title track of f(x)’ first full-length album Pinocchio which had its digital release a couple of days ago and will be out on CD next week.

All members look great in this music video and I like the choreography too. What do you think about the song? I like it.
I haven’t had time to listen to the album that much yet. It’s a bit odd sounding, but in a good way. Definitely feels like f(x)
.

When I first heard of Girls’ Generation’s new Japanese single Mr. Taxi I was sceptical. The concept (and title) sounded kind of lame to me. Then the song was leaked and I listened to it a bit. On the surface it doesn’t seem like a song I would like, but it’s very catchy and hard to get out of your head once it’s in there. I like it.
Last I heard was that this song is only going to be promoted in Japan, so no Korean version is expected. The single will be released in less than a week. You can pre-order it here if you want.
The leaked track is not the best quality, but definitely good enough to form an opinion about the song.

A is one of Rainbow’s songs from last year. It’s included on their latest mini-album So 女 where To Me is the title track. This video is a bit… trying to find the right word here… sluttier than To Me, which I posted earlier. It’s kind of catchy though. Been listening to their mini-album quite a bit this past week.

The one whose appearance changed the most from A to To Me has to be Yoon-hye. If you’re new to the group, can you spot her?

Have you seen this? It’s friggin insane!
While the security people were standing around doing nothing during SNSD’s performance at the Angel Price Music Festival, some weirdo comes up on stage from the back-stage area, grabs Tae-yeon and tries to drag her off the stage
. Sunny grabs a hold of Tae-yeon and the host of the show manages to stop the man from dragging Tae-yeon away.
Afterwards Tae-yeon assures the fans she’s OK and the show goes on.

Haruka is a poppier song than usual(?) from Japanese girl band SCANDAL. It’s also their latest.
