Rumours about how the release of SNSD’s upcoming album “The Boys” would be postponed have been circulating during the day and now it’s been confirmed that the album will not be released on the 5th as originally planned.
It has been decided that Girls’ Generation will be releasing a US album. In order to reinforce the plans of having a worldwide release of “The Boys”, we are planning on changing the release dates of the album in Korea as well. Further details about our decision will be announced when they are confirmed.

This is Tae-yeon’s solo performance of a Hush Hush; Hush Hush from SNSD’s first live tour DVD. The song is originally by Pussycat Dolls, which in turn borrows from Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive.
I’m usually not keen on K-Pop artists singing in English (except for IU), but Tae-yeon really pulls this off. I looked up the original (yeah, I’ve been pretty disconnected from Western mainstream music since I got into J/K-Pop) and I think that Tae-yeon does it better. I might be a bit biased, but that’s my opinion.

The teasers for SNSD’s upcoming album The Boys are being released bit by bit. So far it’s only pictures. I’ve already posted a few of them, but I thought I’d collect all of them here.
The concept seems to revolve around fairy tales. Doesn’t really give you much to go on as far as what the comeback performance will be like. I’m looking forward to the video teaser.
I’ll update this post when the rest of the pictures come out.

I watched SNSD’s Into the New World First Asia Tour DVDs a couple of weeks ago. After performing a few songs, the girls lined up and introduced themselves one by one. Last one out was Tae-yeon:

Speaking of Tae-yeon and Girls’ Generation, the release date for their new album “The Boys” has been set. It will be released on iTunes worldwide on October 4th. Until then we’ll get teaser pictures and videos. The first teaser picture is of Tae-yeon. I don’t know what the concept will be exactly, but I guess we’ll know as the teasers keep coming.

With her new album coming up soon, IU has cut her hair short. She posted this picture on her fan café. I like her pretty long hair, but she’s so cute with her hair short. I wonder what her new album will be like. Superb, no doubt

Vita500, which is endorsed by SNSD, released an “augmented reality” app for iPhone and Android (search for vita500 in the app store), where you can scan the QR code (square bar code) on the bottle with your smartphone to see the member on the bottle step out and dance on your table

Vita500 is not sold here, which makes the app pretty useless, unless you have the QR codes that appear on the bottle labels that is.

The chorus is pretty catchy. I could see myself listening to this while driving.
Replay is SHINee’s debut Japanese single. It’s a Japanese version of their song 누난 너무 예뻐 (Replay).
