When I got back from a trip yesterday, I found that I’d received my Max Factory Another Blood figure. It will go great with my Al Azif figure. More about this later.

I took some new photos of my Feena Fam Earthlight figure tonight. I was trying out some new reflectors that I just made and a grey card that I got this morning. I forgot the ISO at auto though

Now it’s time for some photos of my brand new Kanu Uncho figure. It’s a 1/8 figure by Alter sculpted by Mirano. This is one of those figures that I just had to have. I love how her hair flows around her body and the weapon looks mean! The figure is really nice! It has some partially visible seams, but overall it looks great! I’m very happy with it. The only problem is that I have to rearrange my display case to put Kanu in a good spot. Check out the rest of the pictures. (more…)

Yesterday I picked up my Feena Fam Earthlight figure from the post office. I try to stay away from bikini figures, but this one was so nice, so I had to order it. The figure is sculpted by Tetsuya Yamada at Max Factory. It’s very summer-y and the there’s a breeze that makes her hair, hat and sarong (um, don’t know the English word) flow in the wind. (more…)

Yesterday I received the Fräulein Revotech Pocco figure that I had pre-ordered at J-List. It looks very good. I really like the eyes. I think this figure looks way better than the Rei Ayami Revoltech figure (which I also have). The joints are also different.

A bad thing about my figure is that the joints on her left arm were loose, so her left arm came apart all the time. (more…)

Today I got the Max Factory Al Azif figure that I’ve been waiting for. I really like it because of how the hair and all the ribbons flow. It has some minor imperfections on the ribbons and some very small stains (as you can see in the pictures), but the overall quality is great in my opinion.

I took some new pictures of my Bushido Girl figure yesterday. I’m still learning and I haven’t spent that much time tinkering with the lighting. If you have any tips, I’ll gladly hear them.

Today when I came home from work, two big boxes were waiting for me on my doorstep (the postman leaves the packages there for some reason). Among some other items were two new figures to add to my small, but growing collection.

The first figure is Bushido Girl by Wave. I liked this figure when I first saw it online. The face isn’t very detailed, but I like the sword and armour. I took some pictures, (more…)

I read super rats’ tutorial for taking indoor photos of figures today. On my way home I went shopping and bought some tracing paper etc. to build a light diffuser for the mini photo studio I was about to build. I didn’t follow the tutorial fully because I don’t have many lamps and they are all pretty weak. I thought I’d give it a go with what I already had (so that the most expensive material I had to buy was a roll of tape).
