Kanu Uncho 1/8 Alter figure

Now it’s time for some photos of my brand new Kanu Uncho figure. It’s a 1/8 figure by Alter sculpted by Mirano. This is one of those figures that I just had to have. I love how her hair flows around her body and the weapon looks mean! The figure is really nice! It has some partially visible seams, but overall it looks great! I’m very happy with it. The only problem is that I have to rearrange my display case to put Kanu in a good spot. Check out the rest of the pictures.

Her skirt and blouse are made of a flexible plastic that’s a little “bendy”. When you unpack the figure you have to assemble her weapon and place it in her hands. There are even instructions on how to do this - which isn’t really necessary. One thing I thought I’d mention though is that one of the pieces of protective plastic is actually placed under her blouse, so you have to disassemble the figure to remove it. Look at the picture below, and you’ll see what I mean. This is also sort of a cast-off feature where you can remove her skirt if you want (I haven’t tried this, but it seems doable).

I finally got my Kanu

I pre-ordered Alter’s latest Kanu Uncho figure and I was afraid something was wrong because it should’ve arrived a long time ago. I even got another order from the same place, that was shipped much later, a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I went to the post office and asked them to check if the package was lying around there, but they said it wasn’t there. Today I received a reminder note that I had a package that I needed to pick up. On the package is written the date when it arrived: June 18th. So, as I thought, the mail man had lost the package note he was supposed to leave in my mail box. Or a neighbour got it and threw it away or somthing. Well, at least now I finally have my figure and it’s really nice! Pictures are coming up. I just need to recharge the battery for my camera.

Love me not

Last night I watched Love me not, which is another Moon Geun-young (문근영) movie. It’s about a “host”/playboy who is in deep money trouble. To get a hold of the money he needs, he poses as the long lost brother of a young heiress (played by Geun-young) who has been blind since her teens. It’s a “will she warm up to him, or will it be the other way around”-movie.

I thought the movie would be more tear-inducing, but I didn’t really feel that much for either character. There’s nothing wrong with the movie, but I actually liked Innocent steps more.

Kaela Kimura Honey B cover driving me crazy

Perhaps you’re familiar with Kaela Kimura’s song Honey B～みつばちダンス～. If not, you can check out the video below. It’s a very cute song. Genie Chuo made a cover of this song on her latest album, but with lyrics in Mandarin of course.

Something that’s been driving me crazy is that when I heard Genie’s cover, I thought it was a song by one of the Hello! Project girls, like Aya Matsuura or someone. Kaela has written the lyrics for her version of the song, but the music was composed by Takamune Negishi (according to Cori’s Jpop lyrics). I think that guy has some connection to H!P. It certainly sounds like it. I had heard Kaela’s song before I heard Genie’s version, so it’s possible that I just remembered that song. But I can’t get rid of this feeling that I’ve heard this song even before that, with other lyrics.

Am I imagining things or is Kaela’s version also a cover?
