This song was originally made for an endorsement of Yamaha Fiore scooters. It was later included on 2NE1’s second mini-album, but they removed the mentions of “Fiore” in the lyrics.

Ugly is the last video in 2NE1’s Korean promotion this time around. Last time they had three videos, this time it was four.
Before the video was released I saw some photos from the set and was really intrigued by the wardrobe. My expectations skyrocketed. Then I heard an audio teaser, which dampened my expectations a bit. I wasn’t expecting the “rocky” chorus. Then the video finally came out, and my initial reaction was one of slight disappointment.
The costumes are cool and everything is perfectly fine, but I was expecting something a bit more profound. There’s no story in the video. They’re just walking around and air-kicking. I was hoping for an emotional story line.
I like the verse of the song, but the chorus hasn’t hit home with me just yet. The message is nice though.
2NE1’s latest video is fully animated. It’s the same characters that were on the cover of their previous digital single I Am The Best. This video also features guns and it’s so funny when Bom’s character fires the shotgun and it flies out of her hands.
The song itself is a bit plain to me. It has some good parts, but it hasn’t won me over just yet.
I’m looking forward to their next music video “Ugly”. It looks very interesting based on the photos I’ve seen from the shooting. The audio teaser that came out yesterday has dampened my expectations a bit, but we’ll see how it is soon enough. Ugly will be released on the 28th (tomorrow) together with their new mini-album.
2NE1 are back with more bad-assery. This song is called 내가 제일 잘 나가 (I am the best). I like listening to it while driving. When I first heard the song I was like “what’s up with this ‘boom ra-ta-ta-ta’ stuff?”, then I saw the end of the music video
.
The wardrobe they use for this song is pretty awesome. And their hair-dos. I dig CL’s devil hair
. I don’t know what’s going on with Dara’s ice cream helmet though.
There’s also a Japanese version of the song. Or perhaps it’s better described as the multi-lingual version. The 내가 제일 잘 나가 part is kept in Korean and then they’ve replaced the Korean in the rest of the song with equal parts Japanese and English.
The video content is pretty much the same in both versions.

Lonely is the second “sneak peek” at 2NE1’s upcoming album. It’s a slower song with an acoustic sound to it with only vocals, guitar and strings.
If you know the title of the song you also know 50% of the lyrics
, just kidding. I like it. It’s really good. I’m looking forward to their album release next month.
Don’t Cry is Park Bom’s second solo single. It was an instant hit, snatching the #1 spot on all the Korean digital real-time music charts at once.
I really love Bom’s voice and I’m digging this song. She should do more solo songs.

2NE1 will be revealing a new song every three weeks leading up to their Korean comeback. Don’t Cry was the first one out. It was released on the 21st, so the next song should be out on the 12th of May.
The actor in the music video is Kim Young-kwang.
This music video for It Hurts (아파) was released on Halloween. I just thought I’d start by stating that, since it’s very different from 2NE1’s other music videos.
It’s different but good. Normally when I feel like listening to 2NE1, I’m in the mood for something upbeat. It Hurts is one of their slow songs.
Back in 2009 2NE1 made their unofficial debut with this collaboration with Big Bang, which was created for LG Cyon promotion.

I’m no big fan of the chorus of this song. The rest of it is pretty nice though.
I kept the intro to this clip since it shows off Minzy’s cool hair
. This is the final clip from 2NE1’s comeback at M!Countdown.

In a way the stage performance is so much better than the music video. It’s a bit (OK, understatement) more positive.
I just loove Minzy’s hair like this. So cool. Dara looks nice too.
