I’m preparing more videos for this site. I currently have more Ai Otsuka, Kaela Kimura and a ton of Ayu PVs in the pipeline. Are there any other artists you’d like PVs from? The ones I have the most DVDs from, other than the ones previously mentioned, are BoA, HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, YUI and Jolin Tsai. Perhaps you have a favourite live clip of Ayu, Ai Otsuka, BoA, ELT, DAI or Jolin that you want to have on your PSP? Let me know.

Ai Otsuka’s song Ticket (チケット) is one of my favourite songs from last year. I can’t believe that it was only released as a B-side! It’s a very catchy song. Unfortunately there’s no PV for it, but I got this live performance from 14 December last year from her “Cool Christmas” performance. I believe that I got the original video from BaBoA.

Two of my favourite artists are releasing Best of albums soon. Ayu is releasing her A Best 2 - white and A Best 2 - black, that are two best of CDs with different songs. The black version has one new song called Part of me. Both versions come as CD only or in a bundle with two DVDs containing the PVs for the songs and a documentary film from CDL 06-07. Ayu’s new albums go on sale February 28. I think I’m going to wait for the overseas version though because I have bought so many CDs recently and I have most of the material already (songs and PVs).

One month later, on March 28, Ai Otsuka is releasing her first Best of album 愛 am Best. Some have called this “just a singles collection”, which is more or less true, but it also comes with a DVD that, as far as I understand, contains all the PVs for the songs on the album. I’ve been wishing for an Ai PV collection, so I’ll get this album (though I’ll probably get the overseas version for this one as well).

As you may already know, I adore Japanese singer and songwriter Ai Otsuka. It all started when an online friend of mine sent me an mp3 of Momo no hanabira. We used to introduce one another to different Asian artists that we had found. Ai was one of the artists that stuck with me.

As much as I like Ai’s happy-happy songs, seeing her perform while playing the piano takes the cake. I first saw her do this in a Bokura no ongaku special about Ai that I downloaded. Then I bought her first concert DVD and… wow. The piano part of Kingyo hanabi is amazing. Below you can download a very nice piano version of Himawari, the aforementioned performance of Kingyo hanabi and Ai performing Amaenbo as a bonus . All of these are from her JAM PUNCH 2005 concert DVD.

I’ve installed a BitTorrent tracker on the site that I thought I’d use when I share large files. This will be a substitute for the FTP mirror I’ve used so far. There are no new videos just yet, but I’ve made a torrent out of Ai’s Renai Shashin PV that I uploaded earlier.

I’d appreciate it if someone would try the torrent and leave a comment about how it went.

I’ve been meaning to post some DVD rips of my own, but I had not decided how I would go about processing and encoding the video until now. It may not be perfect, but it’s good enough quality I think. I went with XviD (1.1.2). As usual I’m giving you one version for the PSP (H.264/AVC) too.

November 29th Ayumi Hamasaki’s new album Secret is coming out. I must admit that I haven’t been as “in to” Ayu as before this past year. I haven’t even heard all the singles and I found a couple of the songs that I have heard pretty poor. The good news is that this is a full length album which means it contains some brand new songs. It also comes (as previous Ayu albums) with a DVD with all PVs and “making of”. I’m actually quite excited about this album (more than I expected).

I really like the cover of Secret! I might even get the CD+DVD+Poster version (hoping that the poster is the same as the CD+DVD cover).

And then in January BoA’s next Japanese album and Ai Otsuka’s next concert DVD is coming out! I noticed today that the SEK has grown much stronger against the USD, so it’s time to shop shop shop!
