I saw this clip from SBS K-Pop Star earlier today. It’s a special collaboration stage where one of the three finalists, Baek A-yeon, is joined by Tae-yeon and Tiffany from SNSD in a performance of Lady Marmalade.

It must be discouraging to perform together with Tae-yeon like this . I don’t follow the show, so I don’t know how A-yeon has performed in the past, but it’s hard to shine next to Tae-yeon .

And yes, that’s BoA you see glance by as one of the judges . She’s representing SM Entertainment in the show.

Milestone marks BoA’s 10th anniversary in J-Pop. In 2001 she made her way over to Japan at an age of 14.

Next year the movie Cobu 3D will be released. It’s a (3D) dance movie where BoA plays one of the major roles. I heard that it will be out in cinemas early next year, but on IMDb the release date is stated as October in the Netherlands, so perhaps it will only be shown in the US first :S.

Today I received three out of the five packages of K-Pop and J-Pop goodness that I’ve ordered. I haven’t ordered much this spring… until now that is.

Earlier today BoA tweeted a picture from her Cosmopolitan photo shoot where you can see the tattoo she has on her back. You could spot a part of it in the music video for Copy & Paste, but this is the first time I’ve seen the whole thing.

It’s nice that she’s releasing more songs, but I’m not too fond of the whole repackaged album concept, since it means that fans who pre-order the album get less than people who wait for the second version. It’s still better than the “let’s release a gazillion versions of the same album” strategy though.

It’s a pretty “normal” music video, but I like it more than Game. They got better use of the “Matrix” photo rigg in this one.

I really dig the “angelic” outfit and makeup.

BoA is finally releasing a new Korean album! It’s called Hurricane Venus and will be out August 2nd 6th.

When I first watched the video, my first thought was along the lines of “wtf” when the song started, but the chorus is pretty good and it’s growing on me fast. It’s nice to hear BoA sing in Korean again .

The video is from a YouTube rip, so the quality isn’t the best. I’ll repost once a HQ version is released.
