I just started watching a Korean drama series called IRIS. It seems pretty decent. The reason I started watching it was because Kim Tae-hee is in it , but also because the trailer looked pretty good. The main character is played by Lee Byung-hun, who you might recognize from the movie Joint Security Area. There’s also T.O.P. from the boy band Big Bang who plays a rivalling assassin.

It’s about a (fictional) secret government organization in Korea that deals with anything that has to do with protecting the nation - assassinations and the like. So, it’s basically an action drama, but there’s also a love triangle there. … Continue reading

I’m a fan of Korean actress Kim Tae-hee (김태희). I’ve seen her in a few drama series and one movie, The Restless. Oh, now that I look at IMDb, she’s also played a smaller part in the movie Last Present which I also have. I’ve watched that movie several times, but it must have been before I knew who she was.

Now her third movie (the second where she’s starring) has been released. It’s called Venus and Mars and is about a divorced couple who hate each other, and instead of letting things be, they battle it out. At first I thought this sounded mediocre at best. This is partly because her last movie The Restless was kind of meh. Then I saw that Venus and Mars is directed by Han Ji-seung who also directed Too Beautiful To Lie, which I love. But that movie is carried by Kim Ha-neul, who is one of my favourite actresses. All the same, this makes me interested in Venus and Mars, so I went ahead and ordered this DVD. I’ll post a review when I’ve watched it.

When I was still in school I drew all the time. When I began studying at the university I stopped drawing for a period of time. Then I picked it up again for a short while. It’s now been almost four years since the last time I did a drawing. I’m not sure why, I just haven’t done it.

The other day I looked at some drawings people had posted at Ayumi Hamasaki.net forum and all of a sudden I felt inspired. I actually felt super nervous because I knew I was going to draw something and I don’t know, I was just so excited about it.

I did a little sketching yesterday and today (well, it’s the middle of the night) I made a drawing. It’s pretty rough, but it feels good to have completed it. It’s supposed to be Korean actress Kim Tae-hee. I don’t know if there’s much likeness. I’m going to post the picture at AHO now (they’ll probably be the first to see it since, well let’s just say that my blog isn’t the most visited page on the web).

I’ve added a section to the gallery called K-Drama Selection. I will post pictures of some Korean actresses I like there. So far I’ve added a few pictures of actress Kim Tae Hee (김태희). I will continue adding more pictures of her and others to the K-Drama Selection.
