IU finishes the year strongly with multiple wins on the Korean music charts. I think she has won everything she could win except that one M!Countdown that Trouble Maker snatched. Here’s a nice performance of You and I from Inkigayo a couple of weeks ago.
I like the camera work and editing. They seem to know their stuff at Inkigayo. I wonder how many takes they had to make to get all angles.
I watched the last two episodes of Dream High again today. This clip was very suitable for posting. It’s IU’s character Pil-suk, who sings the song Dreaming. This is the song that IU changed the lyrics for on YHY’s Sketchbook.

The clip doesn’t contain any big spoilers, but since it’s the second last episode it’s a bit of a spoiler to see where the characters are at. Speaking of spoilers, the English subtitles on the DVD give away who “K” is a little too early in the final episode (they use “her/him” when referring to “K”).
Cry Cry is the main track of T-ara’s latest album Black Eyes, which is part one of two (I’m not sure exactly how it works). At first the song didn’t have that big of an impact on me, but it’s grown on me considerably the last couple of days. I was finishing up at work today and found myself humming the song. I’m not a fan of the Spanish guitar and accordion though.
So-yeon looks so cute! And check out Hwa-young’s short hair. Eun-jung and Ji-yeon look pretty hot too. This live wasn’t the one that was requested, but I like this one 
. It’s from the same Music Bank where SNSD got their 5th win. T-ara placed 4th then. I wonder how they’ll do this week. We’ll know in a few hours.

I’m not going to post the full music video, since it’s so long. But I’ll post the dance version if you want it.
Soon T-ara will start promoting their follow-up song, called Lovey Dovey, and release part 2 of the album.
Behold the hotness that is Kwon Yu-ri! 
This song was her solo number at Girls’ Generation’s first Asia Tour. Solo in the sense that she’s the only SNSD member on the stage. She’s joined by Amber from f(x), who does the rapping.

I absolutely love the outfits the girls are wearing in this performance of The Boys from Music Core. Great performance!
This aired on the 12th, but it was recorded on the 5th. Music Core has been lagging behind since they cancelled the show due to some baseball thing two weeks ago.
How do I know it’s from last week? Because I was there!! We got to stand right in front of the stage. Really close to the girls! They are so beautiful that it’s almost unreal! I tried to get a good look at all the girls, but I couldn’t help staring at Tae-yeon all the time . She just draws me in.
They edited the audience sound in the broadcast. We screamed so much that you almost couldn’t hear the music. We also did a fan-chant during the instrumental part, but they edited it out 
. And by “we” I mean SONE (SNSD fans, 소원/S♡NE).

The auto-tune fest continues . This performance was requested by Rin a while back. It’s the Japanese version of Bo Peep Bo Peep.
T-ara recently released the Japanese version of Yayaya (youtube). Like Bo Peep Bo Peep, it’s very similar to the Korean original, but without the story element. The concept is the same. I was hoping they’d do their Korean comeback next week, but I guess they’ll be busy in Japan.
This is SNSD’s comeback stage from last week’s Music Bank. Listen to the audience when Sunny starts singing . I guess that means that her new look is a hit .
It’s actually a combination of two performances. One with an extended stage and another set of outfits that they cut to a few times to give you a similar effect as in the music video.

This is Tae-yeon’s solo performance of a Hush Hush; Hush Hush from SNSD’s first live tour DVD. The song is originally by Pussycat Dolls, which in turn borrows from Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive.
I’m usually not keen on K-Pop artists singing in English (except for IU), but Tae-yeon really pulls this off. I looked up the original (yeah, I’ve been pretty disconnected from Western mainstream music since I got into J/K-Pop) and I think that Tae-yeon does it better. I might be a bit biased, but that’s my opinion.
