I’ve started listening to Sistar a bit this year. First because they were performing at Music Bank in Paris. Now I’m watching Dream High 2, where main vocalist Hyo-rin plays the (smallish) part of Nana. I started listening to Miss A after the first Dream High, so I wouldn’t rule out the same thing happening with Sistar .

나혼자 (Alone) has a bit of a different sound from Sistar’s previous songs. I haven’t decided what to think about it yet. My favourite Sistar song so far is 가식걸 (Shady Girl). So Cool isn’t bad either.

After finishing Secret Garden, I started watching Dream High 2. It takes place in the same art school as the first Dream High, but a lot has changed. The school has lost its status and is going down the drain when an entertainment company buys it out and sends its own artists, who have been banned from performing for violating a new law prohibiting under-age artists from performing late at night, to attend the school for the time being. It’s not entirely clear what the exact reasoning behind this is.

The actors are all different with the exception of JYP and a few cameo appearances by the original cast.

The main character is Hae-seong, played by Kang So-ra. I recognize her from the movie Sunny. She’s really cute and funny. […] there’s more! »

Last week I went to France to see a horde of K-Pop artists perform at Music Bank in Paris. A total of eight groups performed: Girls’ Generation, T-ara, 4Minute, Sistar, SHINee, U-Kiss, Beast and 2PM. I went there mostly for SNSD, T-ara and 4Minute.

I flew to Paris the same day as the concert. I had already been there for SMTown back in June, so I felt like I wouldn’t have any trouble finding my way around the city. Besides, I had booked a numbered seat for the concert. I had a seat for the first day and a standing ticket for the second day. Unfortunately the second day of the concert was cancelled. It would’ve been great to do both.

The venue was much bigger than SMTown. The good seats at SMTown were much better than the good seats at Music Bank. While SMTown was more intimate, everything at Music Bank went very smoothly. They didn’t have much concert goods though.

It was nice to see so many groups, but since there were so many of them they didn’t perform that many songs each. SNSD didn’t perform until the very end, so it felt like they didn’t get enough time on stage. […] there’s more! »

Time for So Cool by Sistar as requested by snsdking. It’s kind of catchy. I saw this on music bank when they were promoting it, and unfortunately for Sistar it was at the same time as KARA promoted Step, which snagged the #1 spot multiple times.
