So I saw the final Twilight film today (my not-so-secret shame). I liked it. It has a more positive feeling than I expected. There are many parts that are different from the book. Mostly to condense the story and not overly explain things that don’t really need explaining. I’m not sure how easy it is to follow if you haven’t read the book though. I liked Bella’s run in the woods in the beginning of the film, where you get a sense of her heightened senses. There were a few kind of lame scenes, but those are lame in the book too, so there wasn’t much they could do about it.

Part 2 was better than part 1 in my opinion. But that’s how the book was as well. The first half of the book was very awkward. I actually went to see part 1 with a buddy of mine. He’s pretty open minded, but after the movie he was like “ooookaaay….. er… so… ehm.. what did you think?”. … Continue reading

I just came back from the cinema after watching The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. I didn’t watch it on the premiere (yesterday) because I couldn’t get a good seat (I got the best seat today). I didn’t get the notification that the tickets were going to be released until the day after I had already purchased my ticket (great service  ).

This was the first of the movies where I had actually read the book before watching the movie. I actually found it a bit distracting at first. I was comparing what was going on on the screen with my recent memory of the book too much. There were plenty of scenes that weren’t in the book. I liked Eclipse — I was smiling when I left the cinema, so it can’t have been too bad.

New Moon

During my lunch break today I went to buy the movie New Moon on Blu-ray. At the store, the guy behind the counter went and got the BD for me and first put it on the counter. Then he quickly took it down behind the counter again and asked in a slightly hushed voice: “do you want me to put it in a bag for you?”. It was as if I was buying a porno

New Moon

I just got back from the cinema after watching New Moon. It’s received pretty poor ratings, but I think it was great.

It was me and about 300 girls in the theatre. When Edward first came on screen half the audience went “*squeal*” . It was fun to watch it at the cinema since everyone there was very into it so you could hear people reacting to the different scenes.

I went on my own, because I thought I’d enjoy the movie more that way. I knew some of my friends wouldn’t like it, so I thought I’d save myself some trouble and do something that was just for me.

PS. I’ll post music video clips again tomorrow.
